SUMMARY:Nights on N. Market – 2nd Friday
DESCRIPTION:The last outdoor Nights on North Market for the season is this Friday\, Oct. 11\, in downtown Minerva.\n\n\nThe Market Street Art Spot will host a reception\, 5-9 p.m.\, featuring the work of Sally Lytle\, live music by Josee McGee\, and light refreshments. Lytle will demonstrate her plein air method outside the gallery at 5 p.m. and possibly again at 7:30 p.m.\n\n\nWest High Street\, between North Market and Main streets\, will be the site of a popup pocket park for the evening with live music 6-9 p.m. from Casie & Dave\, playing Motown\, oldies\, classic rock\, country\, pop\, and more. There will also be fun for all ages\, games\, crafters\, vendors\, local organizations\, and more.\n\n\nA pumpkin-seed spitting contest will be held at 6 p.m.\, a candy-corn stacking competition at 6:30 p.m.\, a shuck the corn contest at 7 p.m.\, and an apple race at 7:30 p.m.\n\n\nShops open downtown will include the Art on 30 Gallery & Gift Shop\, Vintage Home by IlluminArt and the Market St Mercantile\, until 8 p.m.; Witchy Ways\, until 7 p.m.; and the Minerva Area Historical Society at The Haas Museum will be open 6-8 p.m.\n\n\nWalker’s Cafe Minerva\, Ohio\, Minerva Perk\, The Clever Cookie & Creamery\, and The Komfort Zone will be open late. Cajun Jay’s Canestraro’s fresh-squeezed lemonade\, and 330 Popcorn Co. will also be on High Street.\n\n\nThe village’s Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area will be in effect 4-10 p.m.\, and DORA beverages may be purchased at Sandy Springs Brewing Company\, Que Pasa\, STONEY INN\, and the Normandy Inn and carried throughout the downtown area.
