DESCRIPTION:The Minerva Chamber Rodeo will feature the Buckeye Rodeo Company presenting Bareback Bronc Riding\, Steer Wrestling\, Calf Roping\, Bull Riding\, Barrel Racing\, Saddle Bronc Riding\, and Team Roping. Mutton Busting preliminaries and Stick Horse Races (ages 3-11) will begin at 5 p.m.\, followed by the main event at 7 p.m. Mutton Busting finals and the Calf Scramble will take place during the rodeo. The rodeo will be followed at 9 p.m. by Tony Rio in concert on the Municipal Park Stage\, sponsored by the Minerva Firemen’s Association\, which will also be hosting a beer garden. Beginning at 3 p.m.\, there will be food and commercial vendors\, as well as kids’ activities\, in the park. Presale tickets are $10 for age 12 and older\, $5 for ages 6-11\, and free for age 5 and younger\, and are available at www.eventbrite.com\, or at Minerva Dairy\, Minerva Area YMCA\, Kishman’s IGA\, Gionino’s Pizzeria\, Consumers National Bank\, Loudon Motors Ford\, Studio C Salon\, and the Chamber office. SUMMARY:F.A.T.H.E.R.S. Motorcycle Run and Community Event
DESCRIPTION:A countywide run to raise awareness of the heroin crisis that is affecting the whole community. Riders from the Minerva area should meet at Minerva High School at 9 am. The Minerva Police Department will escort riders to the rally starting point at Massillon stadium. Pre-registration is $20 per rider or $25 with a passenger. The day of the event\, registration is $25 or $30 with a passenger. The last bike is out by 11 am\, and all bikes are in by 4:30 p.m. at the Stark County Fairgrounds\, which open to the public at 5 pm. Admission for non-riders is $5. There will be food vendors\, a motorcycle rodeo\, live music\, raffles\, and exhibitors.
