DESCRIPTION:Be sure to be in downtown Minerva Friday\, June 11\, for Jazz on High Street with Henrique Alvim\, playing Brazilian jazz\, beginning at 5 p.m.\, followed by Dog Friendly with Erynn & Wilbur Krebs\, playing jazz with steel drums\, at 6:30 p.m. In case of bad weather bands will be in the Roxy Theatre \nThe Market Street Art Spot will also host its monthly reception\, 5-9 p.m.\, presenting its Pinch a Pot\, Plant a Seed exhibit. Featured artwork is by a variety of artists and celebrates flowers and all growing things. \nVisitors to the Art Spot can also pick up clay to take home and a link to a video tutorial by Resident Artist Laura Donnelly on how to make a pinch pot. Pots should be returned by June 26 for firing and glazing and can be picked up July 9. Pinch pot kits cost $20. \nSummerGirl Studio\, 224 N. Market St.\, will be open Friday\, 1-9 p.m.\, and will host an open house and community art project\, in which visitors can participate. \nThe Minerva Area Historical Society’s Haas Museum will be open Friday\, 5-8 p.m.

DESCRIPTION:Minerva’s Roxy Theatre presents “Five Women Wearing the Same Dress” on Friday and Saturday\, May 14 and 15. \nThis comedy by Alan Ball is set in the 1990s during an ostentatious wedding reception at a Knoxville\, Tenn.\, estate\, at which five reluctant\, identically clad bridesmaids hide out in an upstairs bedroom\, each with her own reason to avoid the proceedings below. As the afternoon wears on\, these five very different women discover a common bond in this funny\, irreverent\, and touching celebration of the women’s spirit. \nThe play contains adult themes and language. \nThe cast is Loni Porter\, Delaney Tennant\, Megan Eckstein\, Jessica Still\, Dylann Monastra\, and Allen Harshbarger\, and the play is directed by Nathan Meadows. \nDue to COVID-19 restrictions\, in-theater seating is limited to 45 at each performance\, and these tickets are first-come\, first-served. DESCRIPTION:FREE Monthly Supplemental Food for Seniors \nThe Minerva United Methodist Church and the Minerva Area Food Pantry Council announces that Seniors may sign up to receive a monthly food box. Recipients must be 60 years of age or older and have a gross monthly income at or below the guidelines provided. They must also be residents of Stark or Carroll County. People who participate in this program are still eligible for food help from the Minerva area pantries. Please bring an ID. \nEach box contains: 4 cans of vegetables\, 2 cans of fruit\, 2 cartons of shelf-stable milk\, 2 bottles of juice\, 2 items of cereal\, 1 can of beef stew or chili\, 1 jar of peanut butter\, 2 bags of pasta\, and 2 lbs. of cheese. \nThe Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) is a federally funded program administered by the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank. \nApplications are available at the Minerva United Methodist Church\, 204 N.
