DESCRIPTION:The MinervaStrong Memorial 5K will take place Friday\, May 8\, at Minerva High School\, 501 Almeda Avenue\, and will benefit the MinervaStrong Scholarship Fund. The 5K features a fast start and finish on the Minerva High School track. The course winds through the surrounding neighborhoods and park. The 1-mile walk is four laps around the high school track. \nThere will be lots of refreshments after the event to help replace the calories you burned. We are sure you will enjoy this family-friendly\, fun-filled yet competitive event. Register prior to May 1 to be guaranteed a race-premium and T-shirt! Kids who participate in the FREE kid’s run will receive a participation souvenir! \nRegistration before May 1 is $25 for the 5K (race T-shirt included)\, and $5 for the 1-mile walk. \nRegistration: 5 p.m.\n1/4 mile FREE kids run: 6 p.m.\n1-mile walk:  6:15 p.m.\n5K Race: 7 p.m. \n  \n

DESCRIPTION:St. Gabriel Catholic Church’s fish fries begin Friday\, Feb. 21\, and continue through Friday\, April 3\, 4:30-7 p.m. \nDinners include fish (baked or fried)\, french fries or baked potato\, slaw\, bread\, dessert and a beverage. Rigatoni dinners are also available. \nPrices are $9 for adult fish dinners; $4 for children 6-12 years old; and free for children under 6 years old. Rigatoni dinners are priced at $6 for adults\, $3 for children 6-12 years old and free for children under less than 6 years old. \nPatrons can eat at the church or carry out orders are available. Patrons can call ahead at 330-868-4610 to order. St. Gabriel is located at 400 West High Street\, Minerva.

Main Street\, Minerva\, 330-868-4940\, has a food with fresh produce distribution the second Thursday of the month\, 9 a.m.-noon\, and serves ALL clients regardless of address. The distribution site is the Hope’s Harvest Building\, on West Street behind the church.

DESCRIPTION:Community theatre returns to Minerva’s Roxy Theatre with “The Odd Couple\,” the classic comedy by Neil Simon\, which tells the story of two mismatched roommates: the neat\, uptight Felix Ungar and the slovenly\, easygoing Oscar Madison. At first\, Felix’s love of order is the perfect answer to Oscar’s messy house\, careless spending\, and gambling problems. But soon his fussiness and hypochondriac ways prove extremely annoying to those around him\, especially Oscar\, who has to decide whether to let his friend stay and drive him crazy or throw him out to retain his sanity.
