Minerva’s Oktoberfest brings live music from Visinata and TFree & the Panic Attacks, food trucks, craft beer from Sandy Springs Brewing Co. and Aeonian Brewery, wine from Tipsy Farmer Winery and Hidden Trails Wine Cellar, fine crafts, family activities, games and contests for all ages, and more to Municipal Park Saturday, Sept. 27, noon-8 p.m. There will be kids’ activities including free pumpkin painting and hayrides, chicken poop bingo, and a beer garden provided by the Minerva Athletic Boosters. The contest schedule is: Scarecrows in the Park (Sept. 26), Pie Baking Contest – noon, sack races – 2 p.m., Power Wheels Derby – 2-4 p.m., Dress Your Dog – 4:30 p.m., stein holding – 6 p.m., and beer carrying obstacle course – 6:30 p.m.
