The eighth annual Brick Street Art & Jazz Festival will come to Minerva’s North Market Street on Saturday, May 19, 11 am-7 pm. The festival will feature professional jazz bands, including Blu Monsoon, AZJazz, Erbo and the Buzz Factor, and the Alliance Symphony Orchestra Big Band, as well as four high school jazz bands. There will also be a wide variety of fine crafts and art available for sale, food vendors, artist demonstrations, the Art Bus walk-through gallery, a drum circle, kids’ art area, a public typewriter, a giant xylophone, photography contest, strolling magic, and many more interactive activities for all ages.
The schedule of bands is: 10 am – Denny Ott; 11 am – Minerva High School Jazz Band; 11:45 am – Blu Monsoon; 1 pm – Northwest High School Jazz Band; 1:50 pm – The Furnace Street Jazz Band; 3:05 pm – Tom Freeland & Amie Hill Fankhauser; 3:55 pm – Erbo & The Buzz Factor; 5:10 pm – Beaver Local High School Jazz Band; 6 pm – Alliance Symphony Orchestra Big Band.
