The Minerva Area Historical Society at The Haas Museum will meet Monday, Oct. 28, 6 p.m., in the Minerva Public Library Community Room. The meeting will include an overview of Minerva’s Market Street Art Spot. Marty Chapman, one of the nine resident artists, will speak on the founding of this unique gallery. The Art Spot offers original works of fine arts and fine craft. Chapman’s work features wood lathe items using different types of wood, turned into beautiful bowls and works of art. Chapman will tell about the new location at 113 N. Market St. All are welcome to come and learn about the other resident artists and what the Art Spot has brought to the Minerva community.
