Friday, June 13, at Minerva’s annual Homecoming Celebration will begin with a tug-of-war tournament, run by the Minerva Athletic Boosters. The midway opens at 6 pm with rides provided by Kissel Amusement Company. Wristbands are $18 or $2 single tickets with 10 tickets – $20 or 20 tickets – $30. The Community Building is open from 6-9 pm. A Power Wheels Demolition Derby will take place on the basketball courts, 7-9 p.m., and the Becky Flinn Band will play on the main stage, 7-10 p.m. The Dunk Tank will be manned by the FFA on Friday, and Minerva Chamber members will be pouring in the Beer Garden, located across the creek near the stage. Kona Ice and Travelin’ Tom’s Coffee Truck will be located near the beer garden every day, and on Friday Triple T’s Fresh Cooked Foods will be serving.
