The final evening of Minerva’s annual Homecoming Celebration on Friday, June 14, will feature a pickleball tournament, getting under way at 8 a.m. The midway opens at 6 pm with rides provided by Kissel Amusement Company. Wristbands are $18 or $2 single tickets with 10 tickets – $20 or 20 tickets – $30. The Community Building is open from 6-9 pm., and this will be your final night to get your Lionburgers. Professional wrestling will take place, 6-8 p.m., on the basketball courts, and a cornhole tournament, run by the MHS Football Alumni, will happen on the other side of the creek at the same time. The Roxy Theatre Duck Race happens in the creek at 7:30 p.m., and Paradise: The Meatloaf Tribute Band plays on the main stage 8-10:30 p.m. Raffle winners will be announced from the stage at 10 p.m. The Dunk Tank will be manned by Minerva Chamber members on Saturday, with proceeds going toward 2nd Friday celebrations. The Beer Garden will be manned by Minerva Athletic Boosters on Saturday. Kona Ice and Travelin’ Tom’s Coffee Truck will be located near the beer garden every day, and on Saturday Mean Bean BBQ will be serving.
