The community is invited to the Minerva Area Chamber of Commerce’s 41st annual dinner and Community Salute Awards, Wednesday, May 8, at the Minerva Community Building.
The event will feature a presentation by Ohio Department of Development Director Lydia Mihalik, “Empowering Communities to Succeed.”
The ODOD is a state agency committed to empowering communities to succeed by investing in the people, places, and businesses of Ohio, and Mihalik was appointed director by Governor Mike DeWine in 2019. Prior to that she served as the 55th mayor of Findlay, Ohio. Her vision and leadership led to the revitalization of the city’s downtown, attracting new job creators from around the world, and Findlay being recognized as the top micropolitan in the nation by Site Selector Magazine for economic development and job creation every year since 2013.
The event begins at 6 p.m. with a cash bar, followed by a buffet dinner, catered by Kishman’s IGA, at 6:30 p.m., and the program at 7:30 p.m. Admission is $40 for Minerva Chamber members and their guests, and $45 for nonmembers, and RSVPs are due by Wednesday, May 1.
